Texas: Baytown Evacuee and Curfew Information

By Heidi VanderVelde

The citizens of Baytown who have evacuated from the city as a result of Hurricane IKE are encouraged to remain at their current location, if it is possible and they are comfortable. The evacuees may want to continue to stay in touch with the media for a possible return in 1 or 2 days because the city continues to experience some power and water difficulties.

The curfew of 7:00 P.M. until 6:00 A.M. for the City of Baytown residents continues to be in force.

All storm related inquiries should be directed to the City’s Emergency Phone Bank at 281-420-5311. The phone bank will be taking calls throughout the storm event. Helpful information is also available on the City’s website at www.baytown.org and on Cable Channel 16.
