My wife and I reside in Jefferson County (Nederland Texas) 10 minutes from Labelle which is under water. We both work in Jefferson County as well. My wife works in Beaumont as a social worker for the family services battered women and children’s shelter and I work in Labelle for Olivier Pools. We have depleted all of our resources, including the money for our bills and are unable to go to work. They will not allow anyone back in because of floods, lack of power, and sewage backing up. We are desperate for any advice or help that you can offer. Thank You for Your time. Ed Banchor

I heard on the news today that there is a disaster unemployment fund to help out. I didn’t catch the website information, but if you have computer access, maybe you could find it through the worksource because that is who was talking about it. If I hear it again, I will come post the information.
